How is it already May?!? While we’ve been enjoying the signs of spring popping up all around us, time has been moving very quickly on the farm. Winter is typically a slower and quieter season for farmers, but our winter was very busy with pop-ups and experimenting with hydroponics, and reviewing the previous year and setting in place what we learned so that we can continue to improve and meet our goals.
Much like the natural season, life has also continued to bring more stormy and calm moments to us on the farm. Now that we’re heading into the busiest part of the year, we hope that there are more moments of calm for us to help fuel us for the growing season ahead. Either way, much like the forests around us, we will do our best to dig our roots in and stay resilient.

We continue to feel gratitude every day to live with and among nature on our small farm, and we feel excitement at the return of the farmers markets and sharing space with our local community! This year you can find us at two farmers markets. Starting on Saturday, May 17 and continuing every Saturday through October 25, 2025 you can find us at the Barker’s Island Farmers Market (14 Marina Dr, Superior, WI); and Starting on Thursday, May 15, and then continuing every Thursday from June 12 to September 25, 2025, you can find us at the Lincoln Park Farmers Market (3002 W 3rd St, Duluth, MN).
We will also be participating in various festivals and events, including the Lake Superior Sustainable Farm Association Harvest Fest on Saturday, September 6, and the Chester Bowl Fall Fest on Saturday, September 20, and Art in Bayfront Park on Saturday and Sunday August 16 and 17, 2025.

New this year, we will be offering some sustainably grown plant starts for sale for those of you that would like to grow your own produce or flowers at home! We are also now producing several different varieties of gluten-free bread! Please feel free to contact us for special orders or let us know any special requests. We also welcome feedback to help us better meet your needs and to help us continue to learn and improve our products.

Continuing this year, we accept SNAP/EBT and Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program coupons (WI and MN). It is important to us that everyone have access to sustainable, local, and healthy produce!
Thanks to the support of Whole Foods Co-op in Duluth, MN from their Grow Local Food Fund grant, we will be installing a well on the north side of our farm, which will allow us to greatly expand our production in the coming years. Stay tuned for more details as we work on this expansion this spring and early summer!
And now… it’s time for us to get back to seeding, baking, planning, and prepping! We’re excited to see many of you in person again, soon!
